What We Believe

Pasadena Mennonite Church is an Anabaptist community committed to live, work and witness according to the biblical teachings and example of Jesus Christ. As his disciples, we seek authentic fellowship with one another and the world, we work for justice on behalf of the poor and dispossessed and we practice peaceful nonviolence.

Our ministry within Pasadena includes serving meals at Union Station, advocating fair trade practices by supporting the Ten Thousand Villages stores, and promoting peace and justice curriculum in secondary education through support of the Peace and Justice Academy. We actively wage peace in acts of public worship and demonstrating against war and violence in its many forms, so that the world may know the transformative power of Christ’s love.

We recognize that each person is created in the image of God, and will seek equality, justice, freedom and human rights for all people. By the fellowship of love which bridges class, racial, ethnic, gender, sexual orientation, economic, ability, marital status, age and cultural differences, we demonstrate the oneness of the body of Christ with the diversity of its parts.

Pasadena Mennonite Church warmly invites you to join us as we seek to become a sign, foretaste and instrument of Jesus’ hope, healing and peace to the world.
